better-post

A starter for finishing phone footage with Claude Code. It fixes washed-out HDR uploads, types captions, places licensed music under your voice, and masters loudness to −12 LUFS. Your video files never leave your machine.

How it works

  1. Clone the repository and open it in Claude Code.
  2. Put your phone footage in contents/ (one folder per video).
  3. Ask Claude Code to edit the video. It plans the cut, captions and music, then renders.
  4. Review the render, give notes, and run the review loop until it is ready.

Good to know

  • Licensed under Apache-2.0. The NOTICE file keeps the creator credit.
  • Claude Code sends transcripts, prompts and any frames it reads to Anthropic. Video files stay local.
  • Shared as a starting point, not a product. It is updated when the author is available, with no roadmap or support promised. Fork it.
